Yes, we've combined our bedroom and working space, and it's turned out quite well. On one wall we have the disorganized bulletin board with tons of inspirational cut-outs and own work in progress. On the other side of the room we have an organized wall of frames with cool graphics and photos. All garnered with a cool black and white curly patterned wallpaper.
The desk is constructed from 3 and a half cupboards on mdf-boards with discreete golden handles and (like the bedroom mirror) painted in glossy black paint. We like custom build furnitures because they take up the least amount of space in our only 85 m² apartment. – and they ofcourse look better!
On the desk we have the mandatory imacs and notice the Samsung ML-1830 printer in the corner which fits into the black glossy look.
The bed-cover is from the Hay Copenhagen shop. They sell and produce contemporary furniture danish furniture design.
The black & white patterned wallpaper is called Malabar and is from Cole & Sons.
The Framed black & white poster widt hyellow text is an old advert for a Copenhagen furniture shop. The building on the poster is 'Bella Vista' – an apartment complex north of Copenhagen designed by the famous danish architect and furniture designer Arne Jacobsen
The black steel-grid chairs was designed in the 50'ies by the designer Harry Bertoia.
And last but not least: The desk-lamp is 'President' by the Bauhaus designer Christian Dell.
All photos (except the flowers in the window) are by professional photographer Tia Borg Smidt. The photos where made for the magazine Boligmagasinet.
See details on the photos at our flickr-slide and watch out for the next posts with the rest of the photos from our apartment...
