Retro Living Room from our old Apartment

Continuing the succes with the photos of our apartment we now show off the retro styled livingroom at our old apartment. Features are teak furnitures, forest-in-fall wallpaper, yellow, orange and brown colors.
We raided the local fleamarket for teak furnitures at bargain prices, and I must admit that if we had the cash-flow at the time we would have exchanged the sofas for anything else in teak! And it would have been nice with one of those old TVs in a wooden box – like the old wooden radio we had on the floor in the corner.
Despite the small flaws it was a real nice setup for a limited amount of money. I think the thing that actually cost the most was the retro wall-paper. All the other furnitures where either gifts our bought incredibly cheap at fleamarkets.
The sofa with the embroidered pillows is a coffin-sofa from my grand-mom. She actually did the embroidering herself.
Notice the coffeemug on the coffeetable, we've got a whole collection of those funky retro mugs. Check out the whole collection at TopKop.dk.
The two coloured girl on the wall is a simplified drawing of Hanne that I made from a photo. The orange girl besides the mirror is cut out from a Custo shopping bag. At that time Custo had produced a series of shirts and t-shirts with retro colored and styled girls. They looked very much like the illustrations of some from some of my favourite illustrators Rian Hughes and Monsieur Z.

We would love to hear your opinion. Leave your comment below...

Hi there. I came across your website when I was looking for vintage wallpaper online. I LOVE the pictures of your apartment - the tree wallpaper is just the sort of thing I am after (after having seen something similar in Bolig Magasinet). Is there anywhere you know of in Denmark where I can buy some? I'm after 'photo' wallpaper, preferably with autumn trees. I have family and friends in Denmark (I lived in Vesterbro for three years) so if there is a shop somewhere that stocks it, I can send them in to buy it for me.
På forhånd tak... :-)
Angela

Hi Angela. Thanks for the nice words. We bought the photo wallpaper at a small store called Posterland about 7 years ago.
I can see that they've grown since, and now has a massive online store. And they still have the exact same Wallpaper here: http://www.posterland.dk/product/fototapeter/hel-vaeg/autumn-park-foto-tapet-i-8-dele/7513
