Facade for public counseling shop

We've just finished our proposal for the facade at the new public counseling shop in Holmbladsgade, Copenhagen. The counselors didn't want the facade to attract too much attention because the users are going through a rough time, when using their services. Therefore our solution had to be subtle. But at the same time they wanted a solution that potential users would notice.

Cover illustration and graphic design for annual art book

The concept of the book is to present 101 danish fine artists to the public in an annual publication. The cover illustration had to make the book 'eatable' for mainstream consumers and to make it stand out on the shelves in the mainstream bookstores.

Softies allstars parade

We've always been fascinated by japaneese pop-culture's strong bright colors and hyper-cuteness - a derivative thereof is the popularirty of custom handsewn plush puppies/dolls called 'softies'.

American neon signage rocks

I must admit that quirky neon-signs and retro lettering makes me stop stop and stare (and take a few photos). Here's some signs I photographed during a trip to the US back in 1999.

We are driven by curiosity, creativity and a desire to produce work which fulfills the needs of our client as well as their customers in an inspiring and fun way.

Our background
We come from different backgrounds in architecture, graphic design and illustration, but our common goal is to execute strong visual ideas in simple solutions. Besides supplementing each other at work we also team up in private!
Hanne has a bachelor in architecture from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. She has made several spare time interior decoration projects for private apartments, has recieved a scholar-ship by recommendation of Professor Tage Lyneborg, and worked on a prize-winning interior project for Royal Copenhagen during her internship at Dorte Mandrup Architects.
Tobias has been freelancing as an illustrator for clients like Nokia, TDC, Oticon and GlaxoSmithKline, has a bachelors degree in graphic design from The Graphic Arts Institute of Denmark, and is a web nerd in his spare time – hence the nice homepage.

What we do
We offer concepting, visual execution and production planning in a number of visual disciplines like spatial design, product design, small scale architecture, interior decoration, graphic design, webdesign, GUI design, identity design, illustration, information graphics and pattern design.

The concept of the blog
This Blog is primarily for documenting our work and work related hobby projects as a kind of portfolio, but we also write this blog to keep track of things which we use as inspiration for new projects.
Though most blog-posts (or Design Cases as we call them!) are about our own projects, some cases are tagged with inspiration. The inspiration cases are a description of a certain trend or a closer look at things that inspires us.
The inspiration links is a collection of websites from all the very talented people out there, who inspires us and fuels our drive towards making beautiful visual design.
